Football Rutgers adds LIU + UConn home / home to schedule

UConn has done a pretty good job building schedules as an independent -- I didn't think it could be done. Of the schools that have played them in football, did they also get basketball games built into the contract? I'd have to think that we win both games -- pretty easily. But UConn did beat...

    OT: MLB Realignment

I have not liked any of these proposals but at this point the leagues are practically meaningless, divisions are almost meaningless so you could realign or just have 1-30 in one grouping and the top 2 make the playoffs.

OT: what’s the dividing line between North and South Jersey?

Try moving to Bergen County as an adult and telling people up here that they're wrong and it's not called Taylor Ham, and isn't indicated that way in any packaging, and that the product is Pork Roll and Taylor is one brand of pork roll. It feels like I'm speaking in a foreign language...

OT: what’s the dividing line between North and South Jersey?

I wouldn't put Phllipsburg in North Jersey. Its a little like Union County -- straddler depending on where you are in the county. Plainfield, Scotch Plains, even Summit are more central than north. Elizabeth, Linden, Union more north than central. Plainfield in North Jersey and North...

OT: what’s the dividing line between North and South Jersey?

By County: Bergen, Passaic, Morris, Essex, Sussex North Jersey Union, Somerset, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Monmouth, Warren central Jersey Everything else South Jersey Pretty rough but the general idea. Also the rough dividing lines are I-78 and I-195

Football Rutgers & Temple add home/home series

Temple is a unique situation: Within 100 miles of our campus Large stadium with plenty of seating for anyone who wants to procure a ticket In our recruiting area As close to a traditional rival as we have Considering how much $$$ we get from the conference contract, it has to offset our...

Imagine: SEC vs BigTen and ACC vs Big12. Entire conferences squaring off in the early weeks of the season with real matchups with real implications

    Rutgers Football @ Special Olympics

I was there -- I coach a swim team from Bergen County. Evan Ward has spent opening ceremonies with the Bergen County squad for the last 2 years since he hails from Rutherford. The athletes love having the football players come by and Evan really enjoys spending the time with the athletes...

    OT: Pacific Coast Highway

I did the drive in 94. Loved Carmel, Hearst. Was recommended to go to Solvang but didn't make it there.

    OT: Statins

Yes, my muscle pain/soreness went away immeidately. I was more concerned with what statins might have been doing to my liver, given how they work.
