Inside Brooks Barnhizer's commitment to NU

Dad is pals with John "Crash" Mengelt. Not a better bball reference than that.

Pound the Rock - Premium Basketball Board?

I think the argument is that Lou and team do a considerable amount of work that keeps the board afloat and for which they aren't compensated. Completely buy that. I disagree on the broad brush of "frequent posters not supporting the site." It applies to some and doesn't to others. It...

Pound the Rock - Premium Basketball Board?

The question I'm interested in is, will the additional bball board help at all w the NU bball program? If it's possible it will, worth looking at. I read this from the start as a signal that we can all expect to see more of the bball content behind a curtain. Not a lot of bball content to...

Pound the Rock - Premium Basketball Board?

You're right about that. I should and I will regardless of whether there's premium bball board. I place a lot of value on what Lou, you and others contribute here.

Pound the Rock - Premium Basketball Board?

So, like, if this moves forward, would we be able to cash in our points for subscriptions?

Pound the Rock - Premium Basketball Board?

Would Heywood continue to post on this board...or the paid board?

I guess two things... Is the point to discredit Collins and thereby bolster Carmody? I support both coaches so may be the wrong guy to argue that with. In a very NU way, every summer Carmody was here, I could conjure some rationale as to why the upcoming season would result in an NCAA bid. I...

Will Patrick Baldwin Jr Commit to Northwestern?

Saw a mock draft and both PBJ and Christie were top five picks. IIRC, PBJ was the second pick.

Why would the Lakers running the PO impact their defensive rebounding? I know nothing about the Lakers running the PO but I'll venture why the rebounding sucked (a stat of which I am also unaware). The key is in your questions..."for a short while." "For a short while" tells me it didn't...

I thought the last few years he had great talent. I think some of the Collins recruits have higher ceilings, but Crawford, Cobb, Shurna....and that's just a sample...as talented as NU has had.

    Christie to Michigan State

I wish him well. I don't know anyone who went to MSU that didn't love it. With the exception of one or two games each year, hope he kills it.

First time I've heard this posited as defense of a poor rebounding team. Shouldn't the spread open up spaces for the other O players to rebound? Wouldn't they see the direction of the miss first? Offensive rebounding under Carmody had little to nothing to do with the offensive scheme and...

On the latter...the weightlifting....I don't know if that was Carmody. NU didn't have a headcount dedicated to mens bball. I generally agree with rebounding comment.....but he was balancing the benefit of his team being able to rebound offensively versus shutting down fast breaks and other...

I'm pretty high on Chase from his freshman year film. A good get by the staff.
