    Basketball Rutgers Basketball adds Sacred Heart to the schedule

    Would think we are still waiting on our home opening season opener game opponent, first games of the year are the first week of November. As of now, we don’t have a game until Nov. 10, that’s too late to be season opener

    Some game dates have started to come out via other teams releases We only have confirmed opponents Bryant St. Peters Delaware St. NJIT Army Seton Hall Syracuse (m in Feb.) 3 in Vegas- Houston, FL or ND, and one other Just Waiting on 1 other game I think

    Basketball Big Ten Conference Announces 2026–27 Men’s Basketball Opponents

    really hope we wouldn’t give up our Michigan home game. RAC at least gives us a chance at an upset UCLA at MSG would be the ideal game to give to MSG. It’s only be Rutgers fans, and is still a big enough name to put at the garden. Maybe in A doubleheader with another college game later that day

    Basketball Players Era expands to 24, moves Rutgers into eight-team bracket

    I believe the big 12 now has a sponsorship deal with the players era, so their conference I think gets 8 guaranteed team slots each year. Something like that Rutgers ND has become our annual non conference game.

    Like the pickup. Like that hes been in the USA and has a year of high major ball as experience. legit size annd length. Protects the rim. And 23. Can give us 12+ mins as a back up. I see he also shoots the occasional 3, with only 2 made in a blowout vs Zona.

    Bring him in. Should be able to surpass a euro league like this salary, so shouldn’t cost much. Would still like a 22 year old experienced college forward to add some bulk downlow. A Gurdak injury and we’d have no real size/strength downlow. Buchanan and Sydnor can not guard a Big all game.

    2026-27 scheduling tidbit

    no IVY league opponent according to Richard Kent id expect all low majors at home. Pike needs 7-0 there, Seton Hall at home, and 3 In Vegas, although I’m sure Pike would love to bail on that in favor of 3 more low majors at home. It’s a make or break year, he will try for 18 wins anyway possible

    Any news on the transfers that left RU?

    would love a true power forward who’s 6’9 and can bang inside. Ideally, Ware developed into that but that’s a huge wish. OR a 6’10 stretch 4 forward that all these big ten teams have. A big that can defend in the paint, but also make 3s. thats where the remaining portal focus should be.

    Good for him. Honestly, i think he is a solid forward reserve 9th man playing 12-15 min a game. He plays D, rebounds, is long, and can switch on D. Just very limited offensively Not sure we are going to find a better 4/5 reserve
