"Acuff best guard Cal has had" -Kendrick Perkins

You said exactly what I just said. Rose FT shooting and Wall's 3-pt shooting. Rose and Wall were not scoring PG's in the modern sense. They played in the 2000's and were freak athlete, generational playmaking guards. Anybody in today's game can just live on the 3-pt line and put up a bunch of...

"Acuff best guard Cal has had" -Kendrick Perkins

People just like scoring, 3-pt shooting guards. Wall, Rose, etc. were generational talents without even being big 3-pt shooters and the game has changed since the late 2000's. Wall and Rose are better/more talented players but Acuff is just a modern scorer.

Yea but Pope is an offensive coach, he's not very good defensively, so he should recruit offensive players who have length/athleticism to be decent defenders on their own.

This Explains Why Pope's Substitutions Were Bad Tonight

I'm really struggling to understand it, especially since the substitution strategy not only hurts the teams performance but hurts recruiting. Playing the best players helps you win, and it helps you recruit the best players, which also helps you win.

Mo does a lot well on one side of the ball. I don't really believe that's a good strategy for winning though. Having players who do 1 thing really well and 1 thing really poorly. It also enables Pope's substitution chaos. Pope needs guys who he knows he can keep on the floor the whole game.

Noah - if he wants to accept the role of end of bench, KY kid who never plays but can come in and knock down a shot or two. Then there really is no reason to kick him off the team if there are 15 roster spots, same goes for Potter. Dioubate - Doesn't fit the system, would rather consolidate the...

Agreed but elite in terms of available players/NIL. Top 5 portal players/freshmen at their position.

Yea but I can still see him being an elite scorer at some point. Could become one of the better backup guards in the country if he is okay with a smaller role but I don't think he's down for it.

Jasper is the most difficult one. I could definitely see him as a microwave scorer, but he has so many weaknesses. I'd take him as a talented backup.

Forgot about him lol I would say keep him and Potter as the KY reserves, if they agree.

I'm over this season. I'm only watching now for individual growth/projection for next years team and to see how Pope adjusts. I'm only taking the top 5 + Jasper if he accepts a small role again. Everyone else needs to go and multiple elite starters need to be brought in with a focus on...
