    Friday night quarterfinal games

If Santiago doesn’t get hurt for Palatine, Warren would have been out in the 1st Rd. The Pirates had a real nice team this year but when you lose your #1 QB it becomes much more difficult to win.

Who Should Be On Upset Alert And Why?

Its in the Daily Herald - I’m not breaking news.

Who Should Be On Upset Alert And Why?

The back-up was the QB when this group was freshmen and sophomores and they were undefeated. With that said, this is a big step up for him and with playoff pressure no less.

Who Should Be On Upset Alert And Why?

Palatine. Without their starting QB (broken left arm) and facing a battle tested Warren club, the Pirates better be hitting on all cylinders or it could be one and done.

Playoff Bracket Projections- Including projected Week 9 results & regional assigments

That was a really tough loss in a game they absolutely had — until they didn’t.

Last 5 in by my calculations + 8a Projected Bracket

Disappointing for Palatine if the “reward” for their great season is a very likely date with Loyola in the Second Round.

    Palatine 30 , Barrington 24 - FINAL

I can see Oles running against Notre Dame HS in the 1st Round and attempting to run over a defensive back. He went down and on that play their chance to make PHS Football history (win a state title) ended.

Nominate: Week 9 State Wide IHSA Football Coach of the Week?

Coach Corey Olson of Palatine. The Pirates defeated a quality Barrington team making the Pirates the MSL West champions in 2024.

    Palatine 30 , Barrington 24 - FINAL

24-7 Palatine after 3. This team with a healthy Santiago at QB would be a real threat in 8A.

    Palatine 30 , Barrington 24 - FINAL

This is the most poorly refereed game in my 25+ years of watching football at the high school level. I’ll say it if nobody else wants to.

    Palatine 30 , Barrington 24 - FINAL

Santiago injured his left bicep. Where things go from here for the playoffs will be determined by the X-rays and the doctors.

What is your big game next week before playoffs start?

It’s time to shine boys…bring it PHS!!

    Palatine 27 - SCN 28 F

Let me throw in that the lack of an adjustment by the PHS Coaching Staff allowing one wideout to dominate a guy half his size for the whole game is not a ref issue. They needed to double the one receiver and PHS wins by at least a TD. The coaching MUST get better.
