The other aspect is that college sports have gotten a big boost from conference realignment and legalized gaming. That boost won’t last forever. It’s almost hard to remember now but right before Covid all the talk was about declining attendance in college football.
A lot of the problem with the NBA is the game itself. There were an average of 75 three pointers attempted per game last season. Given the skill these guys have it is probably wise strategically. But it doesn’t make for entertaining basketball to watch IMO.
