    So does this mean Metcalf was really being courted by others then (and they didn't want to lose him)? Otherwise, the timing is really weird. Glad they got the women's program going though. I hope they have success and they are consistently the second best in the country.

    But to that point. Instead of flipping off the crowd for being disqualified at the SS, imagine if he went to the corner and beat on his girlfriend in front of everyone. I would imagine there would be less of this crowd that would want him back than there currently is.

    I’m not judging this post per se but with the reference to a 2x AA, it just made me wonder. If he was not successful at ISU, does the “second chance” matter less to most people? If he was a national champ, do we overlook the major mishaps, but if he was a .500 wrestler does his baggage matter...

    I guess there are different levels of “holding it against” someone, and what they did will determine where the line is for everyone. Would I let my daughter date Ech? Hell no – he isn’t going to get a second chance from me in that area for sure. Letting Ech wrestle on my team would be different...

    Its tough to watch his matches with Vito Arujau and not be excited about this. Yes, there were two injuries but they weren't the same one. I'd be more reserved if he re-injured like a knee, but a one-time knee thing can happen to anyone when its cranked to the side like that.

    I might be the only one to read the whole thing, enjoy it, and appreciate it. Ashamedly, I do realize that is the opposite of a brag. At least I learned to wrestle early in life so I didn't get beat up.
