Why is Barnhart getting a mill a year?

    Kinda like this job

Aaron Torres Take On Stokes To Kentucky

Didn't watch the Bird video but I had read somewhere that the biggest reason was that Knight roomed him with Steve Green I think. Green's dad was a doctor, Steve had a convertible and everything he could want. Larry was poor, a couple of pairs of jeans and shorts and t-shirts and that was it...

    Jeff Drummond Appreciation Thread

If true, honest to God, they just need to be put this site out of it's misery. One of the last bastions of talent, professionalism, and decency at a site that gets worse everyday. Jeff, they did you a favor. Sucks now but will lead to bigger and better things for you.

Aberdeen's dunk at the end was "bush league" according to Tim Brando

What a dumb take! There was a chance, although small, we could possibly blow it. It completely iced it after that.

We ready to be honest about Malachi?

Ridiculous to even bring it up. He's fine and he's ahead of schedule. Unless you're a consensus Top 3 player like a Davis or Cousins, big men struggle physically to adjust to the game. WCS was an ok freshman, Labisserie was terrible, but going further back Nazr, Magloire, Morris, Turpin all...

    Probably a wild statement but…Baker-Mazara

We had some fans arguing back in 2007-8 that Bud Mackey deserved a chance after getting arrested for selling crack so I guess adding Baker-Mazzara wouldn't be quite that bad.

Jerome Tang out at Kansas St

Also the only game I ever remember starting with free throws before tipoff because KSU dunked in the layup line during pregame warm-up which is not allowed and they were hit with a technical. UK started the game 1-0 before time had even started.

Pitino had 23 total losses in his last five years at Kentucky. Pope will have more than that in his first two years.

I'm not all in on Pope by any means but FFS you're comparing arguably the greatest 5-year stretch of UK basketball (with the exception of 1946-1951) and saying "well this isn't nearly as good". Well no $h!t it not as good! There are very few periods that were anywhere close to that

No. I don't think they are.

    SOS

By contrast Cal's first season that a lot of fans treat as the redemption of Kentucky basketball (and from a recruiting standpoint I agree a 100% it was) was the biggest collection of crap opponents. 35-3 against a bunch of stiffs. Late game heroics from John Wall against UCONN who went 17-16...

Who were the biggest anti UK announcers?

    Len Elmore. Hated UK

Now the one thing …please put to bed

The best thing about Trent Noah is he's going to be a junior here next year. He's never going to be an all-American but he doesn't need to be. He's never going to be an athletic slasher but he's one of our better rebounders, He's actually a pretty good defender, he's got good footwork and he's...

Last night reminded me of the first Cal/Rick UK UofL game

Cal took a page from Rick and I think tried to bully our guys or get them to react badly because the book is out that we have a knucklehead or two who may do that. And just like that time, we found out who the real b#### was and it wasn't UK. Best performance this year by players and coaches...

    Pitinos first years

Before the 89-90 season, the Atlanta-Journal Constitution picked us to win 2 games all season. The Cats Pause preseason prediction was 6 or 7 wins. Cawood Ledford went way out on a limb and predicted eight wins (and said later he thought we'd be lucky to win four games but he wanted to be...
