This is overly harsh! Pope's story as a coach is still being told. The latest update to the story is a potential talent upgrade. If he continues to fail with better talent, then he will be politely shown the door. .
There's a great camping spot all the way at the back of the lake. Big bluff that you can jump into the water, but it used to be a little chore getting to the top. Not bad for a young healthy man. But we'd camp out under a big rock. Where we camped would be considered roughing it. Slept on rocks...
Apparently they have to be able to take shelter below the frost line. Some of Western Kentucky is cave country so they are known to be in the Mammoth Cave area as well as LBL. There may be enough caves and other natural hibernacula near Lake Malone that they could survive the winters.

Serious question: How many times has this guy turned us down? Was it more than once? I'm sorry, but I feel that if he wanted to coach here, it would have happened a long time ago. Maybe the fan base should show some pride and accept reality.
It seems that the majority of division 1 level coaches struggle with the same thing. That is stubbornness. It's like it's a personality trait of most coaches. Would make it so much easier for them and everyone involved if that wasn't the case. But it seems that many of them are too egotistical...
