    You cannot just go by the scores. You have to factor in who the guy beat. Tom Brands beat Alan Fried in the finals one year and that alone makes him the OW in my mind. Fried was a beast!! Dake beat Taylor in the finals and won most of his matches by a regular decision on the way to doing it...

    Hayden Zilmer is another one. He made a team as a heavyweight after training as 96 kilo guy for years. He was from Minnesota, I believe. He is still competing, but will not make a team this year either.

    Why does that make sense? Who says the 3rd place wrestler is not better than the 2nd place wrestler. He just got put on the wrong side of the bracket. And if he does better (scores more team points) than the 2nd place guy due to pins and techs, then he should be rewarded.

    That is how you beat SL. Keep it close in the first period and then score and win in the second. He can blow you out early, but if he doesn't is in trouble - against elite wrestlers.
