Isnt' that last paragraph what UL fans did with Pitino? A lot of UNC fans I know did the same with Roy at Kansas. Especially after the "I'd dont' give a s%&t about North Carolina" comment. A think most of it is due to jealousy.

Pitino had taken shots at the UL fan base for years. He routinely begs UL fans to not sell their UK/UL game tickets to blue wearing fans.
Him bringing this up just follows a pattern. He knew UL fans weren't going to show up in Syracuse. He's hoping that maybe if he calls them out then next...
