What a Game In Lake Forest!

Not really because given the score at the time 15-14 LF, if PR misses on the 2-point conversion, 6 points from LF wins the game. At that point, there is no need for LF to even get the extra point. PR kicking the extra point to make it a 6 point game (21-15) ensures that LF has to make the extra...

What a Game In Lake Forest!

Scott injured his knee. He was walking after the game (with a slight limp) so I hope it’s only minor. I think LF served notice today (and throughout the playoffs) that its D is for real. LF has recovered at least 1 TO in the 4th Q of each playoff game this year. That fumble by PR broke their...

    Post Quarterfinal Scoring Updates Here

Milliman was actually in the game for a number of plays earlier in the day. BTW, someone posted a video on the LF twitter feed of the pass. It was perfectly thrown. All Milliman had to do was get both feet down. That was an ice water in your veins play by both kids.

Most Surprising Team in the Playoffs

The QB is a different QB than they had earlier in the year. The current QB is a Junior who didn't start until week 7. He is a better passer and runs very well. TOTALLY DIFFERENT TEAM WITH HIM NOW.

Most Surprising Team in the Playoffs

LF is totally different from the team that went 5-4 in the regular season. Mills was out for a good part of the season and the Junior QB didn't start until game 7, I think. The passing game and the run options were really good last week. That Uihlein kid is also really talented. He hits as hard...

    Deerfield @ Lake Forest

1981: Joliet Catholic-More than 20,000 fans in Dyche Stadium saw the collision between two undefeated teams, and when Joliet Catholic coach Gordon Gillespie said after the Class 5A victory over Deerfield, ''We have the best team in Illinois,'' few could argue. The first seven times Joliet had...

    Deerfield @ Lake Forest

I remember a playoff game in 1981 where Deerfield came to LF Lindemeyer Field. Deerfield was great then. They blew out LF. I think they played JCA for the state championship that year at Dyke Stadium in Evanston.
