    Not surprised by this ruling as the playbook has constantly been to run off to court and sue the NCAA any time it issues a ruling that you don't like.     Didn't see a thread here about UK baseball making it into the field for the NCAA baseball tournament. Have to play in the #16 seed West Virginia's regional with Binghampton and Wake Forest. We play Wake at 12:00 p.m. on Friday on ESPN 2. Bracket link...

    It won't stop here either. Remember that 10 or so years ago ESPN wanted 96 teams in the tournament.

    Again, the courts have ruled that the NCAA can settle eligibility, especially in terms of how many years a player can play. I fail to see how that is going to result in a defeat. Using your argument, the NCAA has no right to set any eligibility rules so players can just play forever.

    I actually think the NCAA can win this one in court. The courts have typically ruled that the NCAA can govern eligibility standards.
