    Wrestling 2025 NCAA Tourney thread

There are a lot of good thoughts in this thread. Some not so good. An interesting thread would be a discussion of the whole complexity of building an elite program. The first thing you need to do is build a very good program and then take it to elite. I know there are people in this chat who...

Rutgers 2025 Football Schedule: Best & Worst Scenarios, Season Prediction

Need to be at least 6-6 with that schedule. 7-5 is in reach.

I’m sorry. Are you referring to Iowa?

OT: The Shine Is Off Coach Prime

I saw a post on X today that said Deion told the Colorado band not to play the fight song after they score because they are going to play Shadeurs rap song after scoring. Crazy if true, but he did apparently make the team attend the rap show that Shadeur was performing in earlier in the summer...

    Weekend Scores

You are 100% correct. I am all for the alternate possession rule. We play it sometimes in fall ball. My sons are both fogo’s and pretty good ones. They stay on however and play the field but I am all for eliminating the position. There would be a lot more scoring and excitement instead of the...

OT: Chip Kelly resigned from UCLA and is expected to be named the new OC at Ohio State.

Interesting. He wasn’t mentioned on any sites I read. Never a head coach. But maybe he will hire strong coordinators.

No. 13 Rutgers Wrestling Hosts No. 9 Minnesota Saturday

You better make sure you have a significant upgrade locked up before you let Goodale go. I mean you better have that guy locked into a contractual agreement and are willing to meet all of his demands for full University support of the program. Then you release Scott into an administrative roll...

    Kyle McCord enters portal

He wanted to be guaranteed the starting position. Day said you have to compete for it. So he left.

OT: Mel Tucker under investigation for sexual harassment

I agree completely. But, if they suspend you without pay that’s a really bad sign for him. Typically if they are investigating and looking into allegations they suspend you with pay. Without pay usually means they got ya and it’s a matter of time before they fire ya.

    Damion Hahn

You could definitely offer him a position involving alumni relations and fund raising. The only way it can happen is Scott and the AD would have to come to an understanding that Rutgers is making a change and they would like him to continue on in this capacity and allow Scott to announce he is...

Keith is a Pitt alumni and was their last national champion until last night. That’s going to be a tough guy to get.

    Damion Hahn

I am not advocating for a coaching change. But if Rutgers is going to move on from Scott the replacement has to have a legitimate coaching pedigree. Both as an assistant coach under a successful head coach and then as a successful head coach. The Jersey ties are a bonus. Damion Hahn checks the...
