Cost of living in Starkville(at MSU) vs. a big college town

LSU with tops will run be about $2000-2500 in tuition, about 500-600 in fees, $5500-7000 in rent, and $3600 in fraternity dues. The legislature is also considering a tuition hike to $4500 so I'm in a bit of a jam here trying to figure this all out. State with no other schollys would run me...

Cost of living in Starkville(at MSU) vs. a big college town

in Baton Rouge runs from $5500-7000k. i'm guessing it's a lot lower at State?

Bama is so much better coached than we are...

a team like Bama isn't built for tourney play, they're consistent and well coached but not the type of team to run through a tourney.

Cost of living in Starkville(at MSU) vs. a big college town

How much would you save at State with an apartment or condo for rent vs. the same at a bigger city in the 100k+ range? also include food, gas, etc.

So I got the OOS tuition waiver in the mail

today, it said that qualifying for that makes me eleigible for schollys on top of that. I have a 3.2 and a 25 on the ACT. for those with experience what would i be looking at, if anything at all, on top of the waiver?

    Scholarships question

It depends on the level you get, LSU also has a ton of fees they hit you with. the legislature may or may not pass a $1500-2000 raise in tuition so it won't mean as much if that goes through in a few months.

    Scholarships question

tuition with the OOS scholly is at about $5k, I'm just looking at whatever can take that down a bit. At LSU with the TOPS program I would be paying around 1500-3000.

    Scholarships question

I took it in the middle of my junior year without preparation and was happy with a 25. Good enough for LSU and good enough for an OOS scholly elsewhere. What I'm asking about are additional scholarships that have the same criteria or less than the out of state scholarship.

    Scholarships question

OK, so I received the out of state scholarship a few months back with a 3.2 GPA and a 25 on the ACT. Are there other scholarships that I will qualify for just by having the grades/scores to get the OOS scholly? any help for those who have dealt with this would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm at a...

Houston Nutt's personality is better suited for recruiting

over this thread title thinking it's a white flag only to read that they're basically considered an annoying little broseph now by State fans, lol.

Houston Nutt's personality is better suited for recruiting

locker room problems, coaching problems, major attrition problems, ****** lines, etc. isn't that big of a deal. Now, adding those two big time WRs to a 9-4 team that lacked a few big plays here and there is a HUGE mfing deal. That is the problem. Yes, MSU doesn't need Snoop Brassell or Tobias to...

Houston Nutt's personality is better suited for recruiting

the Rebs. Mullen could beat Nutt with a team of 2-stars, he OWNS Hootie. The problem is that Nutt is taking away some of the talent that could put Mullen over the top vs. the elite programs that we see every year in the West.
