    There is no way to know how Lowe would have played on this team and what his impact would have been. His circumstances at Pitt were completely different from what it would have been at UK with these players, disfunction not withstanding.

    If MM goes elsewhere then the problem seems to be with elite recruits specifically. That's either JMI somehow limiting far ranging market opportunities or players wanting to trust their career in the hands of a pure alpha coach rather than Pope, or a combination of both.

    That's exactly the point. A restaurant that size can have one or multiple owners but if they aren't involved in everything from scheduling, cooking and washing dishes, then management and other salaries are killing their already slim profit margin.
