    Interesting hire to say the least. Has been a head coach at two high schools in Virginia. He was at Gloucester from 2002-2004 and had an overall record of 3-27. He was at Mathews from 2009-2012 and had a record of 20-22. He was named head coach at Grafton for the 2017-2018 year and resigned...

    Doug Smith informed the Cavalier Club that he will not be applying for the job.Their next choice is Jake Grove. Would be a great choice but really doubt he would want to deal with all the headaches that go go along with the job.

    He wont have to teach at Amherst. Both his sons will be on the staff. One was already with him at JF and the other one will be moving from Georgia. It will be interesting to see if Jake Grove follows him. Look for JF to go after Doug Smith or Mike Schaurnus.
