    Q of the Week: 2026 IHSA Football Preseason Player of the Year?

    I've watched alot of MS QBs going back to the Sean Prices and Tyler Benzs and Matt Alvittis of the world- and I can't judge his entire game versus those guys - but you've never had a guy with a literal cannon for an arm like that guy. I'm thinking your WRs hands must sting with every catch.

    If You Could Add A Team to Your Conference Who Would You Like to Add?

    I thought the exact same thing. LZ is bookended by Palatine to the south and Barrington to the west. I think Hoffman Estates, eventhough its a good program, would be better in Upstate or something similar. It's the lone 6A program among 8A programs in the MSL West.

    Q of the Week: Who is impacted more by no CSL/MSL crossover non conference games in 2026?

    I for one will not miss Palatine playing Maine South every other year. I think they were 1-4 over the course of the series. And I don't necessarily want to say any team plays dirty, but Maine South plays "super aggressively" and we always seems to come out of those games with multiple injuries...

    The Jarvis move was indeed key. The wind was howling that day, and DJ, who did have a hell of a senior year, was the junior backup QB.     Palatine, if he still has the interest in being HC. I know he was up at one of the Grayslakes the last few years. Today's teens are pretty different than the ones he won with in the early 2000's, but you never know.
