    I believe colleges just have to work into those deals a minimum time a player has to commit for when they sign on. Sure you get a hundred grand, but the contract has to be written that you stay for a certain number of years.

    Football is what got us into the Big Ten. Therefore, the football coach should be paid more. Anyone who wants to base pay on an individual sport's performance is also saying the men's and women's soccer coaches and the men's baseball coach should get more millions more in salaries.
