Wheaton Academy and GW are top of the best programs in the state, but its a fair point.
I think if they make geographic divisions as suggested above, it will make a ton of sense, though some folks will be pissed about dropping Rita, Marist and Mt. Carmels.
Obviously, this is theoretically until you absolutely see a schedule.
But let's say take Loyola Boys lacrosse.
Let's say they will now need to remove 3-4 non-conference games to add 3-4 more conference games.
So let's say they drop Libertyville, Lake Forest, GBS, and Evanston and pick...
I won't have an opinion on this until I see how it is implemented.
Will there be A, B, C divisions like in football? I think there will definitely be an increase in travel. Not sure Carmel wants to be traveling to Marist for a Wednesday afternoon baseball or lacrosse game, where the round...
From what I've heard from some cincy family, Moeller will be down next year. Not sure what that means since I'm sure there are many years a down Moeller could win state in Illinois.
Watched GBS-Evanston. Evanston has athletics on the field, but was probably the worst tackling 8A team I've ever seen. Lots of core fundamentals just weren't there. The right coach can get them to playoffs quickly .

This is a nuanced issue and Trost has never been one for nuance. To try to compare LWE playing in the same division as Loyola to Wilmington playing in the same division as Montini is...
My thoughts on how I would fix it.
Keep in mind I know some of these aren't realistic, will never pass, just what I would do if I was in charge.
1. Move multiplier to 2.2.
2. However, schools will be classified as either 1) their multiplied enrollment or 2) the average multiple...
Who?
Even New Trier, probably the most well funded public high school in the state (if not the country) needs to go to booster club for very basic football supplies.
