If a 24-team playoff had existed since 2014, NU would've made it...

Per thenextround... Tied with 10 other prigrams, including Wisky and Sparty (and Miami!) with 4. No Nebby... Despite this, still hear the Cats being considered a bottom rung program by many in the media.

And doesn't seem fake like Giannis, who is much more limited as a player.

Yogi and Todd post spring outlook...

Sam's post spring power ranking... Think where he has NU is fair, with the outcomes in games for teams in that tier dependant on the bounce of the ball (taking health out of the equation). After thinking about it, Sam has gotten around to what many here think about Fitz/MSU.

“At Big Ten spring meetings, coaches lobby for 24-team playoff”

Networks, primarily FOX, are in as right now, ESPN has a stranglehold. Because there's still a bias in favor of the SEC (which the SEC honks continue to perpetuate), so depending on a committee to make selections puts the B1G at a disadvantage (tons of talk last season about how Vandy was...

    2025 - 2026 Premier League thread

Notwithstanding winning the League last season, 'Pool is following in the footsteps of the mistakes ManU, Tottenham and Chelsea have done with regard to recent manager/coaching hires. Going to rue not cutting their losses and letting Xabi slip to a competitor.

Yogi and Todd post spring outlook...

Cats at the 1:04 mark, sandwiched btwn Sparty and that school down south. Seems like one of the smart things Fitz has done is to hire the former O-line coach from Wake.

Michigan coach says current college football model is unsustainable

Most of those schools were in the SEC, which is why there has been a lot of gnashing of teeth from the south. along with continuing to promote falsehoods like how much deeper the SEC is than the B1G. One if the reasons that Sankey and other powers that be in the SEC are resistant to the 24 team...

Most embarrassing loss of the Fitz Era?

Having teams unprepared against top programs is something BGJ and Fitz both share, albeit a bit more excusable for Fitz (altho the manner of losses against middling at best UM teams were real doozies). Both are "CEO"/face of the program type HCs who aren't particularly good at hiring...

Over/under 1.5 wins for Pat Fitzgerald at Michigan State against Northwestern

Problem for Sparty is that while Fitz is an upgrade on what they had, other programs like PSU, UM, UCLA (look at what Chesney is doing on the recruiting trail) have made significantly better upgrades with regards to their coaching staffs.

    Siemian signed with the Falcons...

Reported that Siemian signed for $1.3 million (not guaranteed). While Trevor has done alright for himself, there are many QBs that have done less in their NFL careers who have gotten significantly bigger contracts. His career and earnings would probably look a lot different if Kubiak hadn't...

Michigan coach says current college football model is unsustainable

Think Mendoza and many of his teammates that were transfers really cared about the program, their coaches and what they ended up accomplishing, so wouldn't paint every player/program with that broad brush. It was a lot less than what the highest paid transfer QBs were getting, esp. what Dook...

BREAKING: QB RJ DAY COMMITS TO NU

Persa had pretty good vision his 3rd year, where he would use his legs to set up passes, something the coaching staff could never quite develop with Thorson. Speaking of Basanez, it was Brett that helped Persa develop/improve in the more mental aspects of playing the position. Except when it...

    Allar & Steelers.

To be fair, Howard was facing an NFL defensive scheme, similar to the one that helped Seattle win the SB and Michigan the NC a few years ago. Harbaugh had gotten a huge helping hand from his brother, one which helped Michigan and Harbaugh get over the dOSU hump. The irony in all this is that...

Flow of international players into college programs

The Cats should have stayed at the forefront with this, or at the very least, revived it when NIL came into play...
