    A little bit of NCAA baseball news

    The NCAA Division I Baseball Committee voted to switch from the current raised-seam baseball to the lower, flat-seamed baseball. Will not be implemented this season, will be mandatory for the 2015 postseason. Ball should allow for better offensive numbers. Whole article can be found here...

    Ortiz is hitting .733 while the rest of the lineup is hovering around .150, so you could say that other than Ortiz no one on Boston has done anything if you go strictly off hitting.It hasn't been strictly hitting, but hitting with runners on base.

    Very true. Either way we agree he needs a 3rd pitch, something that looks close to his fastball, whether it be a change, slider, splitter, whatever. Can definitely see him being affective with a slider.

    I could definitely see Pirtle getting a shot at leadoff. He got on base at least once in each of the last 42 games of the season. He's no Robson or Henderson, but he's got good enough mobility to allow CoCo to be more aggressive with his gameplan when he is on base first. I don't see Detz moving...

    adidas already made "Bench Mob" shirts for the Chicago Bulls (apparently that was their bench nickname too). Wouldn't be surprised if they do make some "Mobb" shirts for State that look eerily similar to those, seeing as how they can't even come up with more than 2 "throwback" uniform designs**

    Graveman tomorrow night per ESPNU...oh lordy..

    Only pitcher in recent memory that Ican think of who actually is better not on full rest. Kendall's best stuff comes when he's 87-89 instead 90-92. When he tries to throw instead of pitch is when he gets beat. I'm strangely optimistic about this game
