    Is Brohm Louisvilles Pope?

Pope is a little further down than Brohm honestly because Brohm's teams have won some conference championships. Pope has never won a conference title at any level.

Nasir Anderson not coming on his visit he cancelled it

Yeah, I was pretty complimentary of Pope's first year. He did take over late and had to build his roster with whatever was available. And he won some big games. I'll give him that. But I think many of the transfers he got where excited just to come to UK and not specifically play for Mark...

Nasir Anderson not coming on his visit he cancelled it

Opposing coaches are PRAYING he stays at UK lol Seriously though, Pope has zero social awareness and can be a bit of a brat. He is whiny when things don't go his way. His one interview with Tom Leach (after a bad loss - don't remember which) was just painful to listen to. Not long after he...

Wilkins winning three point contest BBM

I don't get it either. People just seem to think "Hey, Reed Sheppard was a Kentucky kid and look what he did! Trent Noah will fill that spot and we'll force him in there if we have to." Trent is what he is until he proves everyone otherwise - a good end of the bench player that can come in...

    Indiana Open Scrimmage

Yeah, they're a mess (and have been for a long time) but you better hope Dusty May just EATS at Dallas because Mark Cuban will funnel him right to Bloomington if things do 't work out with the Mavericks. Kind of feel like that is going to happen regardless unfortunately.

John Pelphrey returning HOME TO UK

The Sacred Cloth! Seriously though, Pelphrey did a decent job as a coach...at South Alabama. And that's it. The only reason he landed the Arkansas gig was because Dana Altman walked away a day after taking it. Arkansas had to scramble and Pelphrey was hired a week later. Arkansas fans were...

John Pelphrey returning HOME TO UK

Yeah, please no Billy Donovan. That would not go as great as people think. The college basketball world has changes so much in the decade or so since he coached that it would be a struggle just to adjust. Get a killer. Get Oats. Someone who knows what it takes to win right now. Sorry but...

    Big Blue Madness

This is most likely sarcasm but I will say Wilkins is one of the players I wanted most in the portal so I'll give Pope credit (which I don't frequently do) for landing him. Especially when UConn wanted him as well.

John Pelphrey returning HOME TO UK

Yeah, that's it. Everyone who sees this as anything more that a nostalgia hail-mary is just whiny, ignorant, self-entitled and young. But you're probably right: John Pelphrey is the missing ingredient Pope has been lacking to take UK back to prominence. Final Fours here we come!

John Pelphrey returning HOME TO UK

Lol pretty much. Might as well update his Wikipedia page and say "Pelphrey was not retained when (fill in the blank) was hired in April 2027.

John Pelphrey returning HOME TO UK

Look, I hope he kills it here in whatever roll he does but does this inspire anyone? Loved John as a player but his coaching has been pretty blah overall. Especially his last stop at Tennessee State - he was there seven years and never had a winning record. This is another hire meant to get...

    Morton injured

He knows he is on the clock. All of his pals in the athletic department are gone. Players don't want to come here. Assistant coaches are steering clear or have already jumped ship. Boosters are getting frustrated. The cracks are going to start showing. Hey, but at least we have some...

Pope still doesn’t want another assistant

    Doesn't want or can't get?

Is this true? (Regarding basketball injuries)

I would only be half shocked lol

Jai Lucas hires two former UK guys

I would rather have a competent coach who has at least won something than an alumni with no track record of success.
