We get it. Mark Pope good - he had the Unforgetables on his post game show and doesn't curse. John Calapari bad - he said the 2010 draft was the best day in UK history and kneeled during the National Anthem.
But you can't just blindly accept everything the man does is perfect. Yes, this is a...
I mean, at this point, who cares? We needed a GM a month ago and whoever they choose for the next AD (excluding Marc Hil) will bring in a new coach after this year. All of this staff will hopefully be replaced.
I hate to break it to you but there is no waking him up. Pope is a Mormon and that is a VERY insular culture. He will not listen to outside influences when it comes to this job and how he wants to do it. This is just who he is. Mormons are very adept at tuning negative energy out. It just...

Someone on here described Pope as giving off youth pastor vibes and it is probably the most accurate description I have seen. This is the primary issue.
Fix the head coach and this will all correct itself.
Pope just doesn't get it. At all.
Go back and watch the clip where he responds to being asked about a GM with some quip about finding someone that will get all the best players for zero dollars. He said that like it was going to bring down the house with laughter.
And it got a couple...
