I really hope we don't get caught in another UC doubleheader with 500 people in the stands. That was humiliating

Definitely low but nowhere near as slow as Green's

    Gotta give these guys credit

I don't think Collins teams (or most teams) can shine without a big man who can anchor a defense like Pardon or Nicholson did. But Page played hard today and had several good defensive plays. It could work next year if he gets a little better and (with respect to Kropp) we get a JVZ type as a...

    Depaul

Collins is trying to do something nearly impossible: Develop a bunch of freshmen and sophomores and at the same time integrate several transfers, figuring out who can play together on the fly. It makes sense that our defense has been such a mess. I get CC’s strategy in scheduling a bunch of...

Game Thread: Northwestern vs. Oklahoma State

I really liked Singleton’s minutes at the 5 there instead of Kropp. It seemed our rebounding got slightly better with him, Nick and Angelo on the front line.

    UVA's 22 year old freshman ex-PROFESSIONAL player

South Carolina had a guy named Mike Sharavjamts (“Mongolian Mike”) who had played at four schools in four years. For what it’s worth, if we can’t retain Page after this year — and he’s on his way to a seven-figure senior year right now — so will he. Has anyone ever gotten a degree attending four...

Not giving that one back!! So huge to come away with this given the stretch we have ahead.

Game Thread: Northwestern vs. South Carolina

Cool to see how even a few hundred fans in purple (if that) can make it sound loud on TV. Kudos to those who went to White Sulphur Springs!!

SportingNews reports there is interest in Fitz from the decision makers at Penn State

Not just that, but anyone with access to Google can find him sounding like a fogey in the 2010s, which might as well be the 1960s at this point in CFB. RPOs are the purest form of communism, I don't do hat dances, recruiting is like dating ... now he's going to be the decided schematic advantage...

    Is David Braun Bill Carmody?

Going back to the original comparison just to disagree with it. Carmody was an indifferent recruiter (pick your favorite story, but calling in by speakerphone to Frank Kaminsky's official visit is mine), but an excellent tactician. I don't see anything close to that with Braun or Lujan. What's...

    Good and Bad

That's such a good point about Big Matt and "rebound assists." He also cleaned up a lot of bad perimeter defense. I wonder how much we'll be able to play offense-first guys like Windham and Green without him back there.
