Agree. Often overlooked when discussing Nebraska’s glory days is just how good most of those defenses were. Everyone seems to focus on the option offense (which of course was very effective) but Osborne teams had some very good defenses as well.
Hope the Huskers D improves markedly this year.
Change of base formation makes me happy, never cared for the 3-3-5 scheme. Seems like we couldn’t get the right edge players to make that work.

For those of you residing in Nebraska, I can’t recommend the Calamus reservoir enough. It’s a great place for water recreation and to get a feel for the sandhills region of Nebraska.
