    Kohler to BYU

He is the better scorer. But our scoring will be much better than our rebounding and defense before adding whoever we add. Scoring is only 1/2 the game.

    BBN's Choice: Mitchell or Kohler

Well then you are STUPID. Not to mention you rounded up (I think it was 7.6 for Jelavic and 6.5 for Noah). Not to mention from watching games I thought Noah was a pretty solid rebounder, I'm actually surprised he doesn't calculate out to the 7's. Maybe he just got "timely" rebounds.

    Kohler to BYU

I hope Mitchell gets ironed out. But Kohler was the better fit. We need rebounding and defense, and he is much better in one, and better in the other.

Some people get more Steals, others get more Blocks, some get a mix of both. Both stats are an act of taking the ball from your opponent (albeit the one doesn't guarantee your team gets possession, but more often than not it does). So combining them into one stat does make some sense.

You mean like Garrison could score and rebound good enough to not be a major liability. On this board we complained for 2 years about Oscar's defense, and Mitchell makes Oscar look like Anthony Davis on the defensive end (ok, maybe a slight exaggeration, but you get my point) And for the...

That's a reasonable thing to know know. I had not heard of it before a couple years ago. STOCK stand for STeals + blOCKs.

Athleticism certainly makes playing good defense easier! But defense is more about EFFORT and playing SMART.

Mitchell does not defend well, and does not rebound well. So, now you are just making stuff up to support your case. Just be honest and say that you value offense much more than defense and rebounding. I may not disagree with that, but at least I would respect it.

Looks like YOU are the one NOT using your BRAIN. Stats also demonstrate what I said, where Mitchell only averaged 1.2 STOCKs/gm. That's not good for a player playing 33mpg. That's 1 every 28 minutes. For comparison sake, the past 2 years the 2 worst non-guards for UK in STOCKs were Almonor...

    BBN's Choice: Mitchell or Kohler

I get the desire to want a go-to guy. Every year I say we need at least 3 guys who "can go get you a basket, when you need one". Whether that is via a drive, a post-up, or creating his own 3. I think Zoom is 1, I think Momcilovic is 2, I think Moreno is 3, and Wilkins is 4. Would I take a...

    BBN's Choice: Mitchell or Kohler

Uh....no! Google/Bing/CoPilot/Claude it, and the response is that Mitchell is not a good defender. And 5 rebounds in 33mpg is NOT good for a Forward. Mitchell rebounded 4.6 per30min last year. That was only 0.2 more than our Guard Oweh last year and 0.3 less than Oweh 2 yrs ago. 1.9 less than...

"can stretch the floor if needed". You do know, Kohler made significantly more 3's than Mitchell (both making the same %)

    BBN's Choice: Mitchell or Kohler

Kohler and it's not even close. I don't care that Mitchell scores more. Our OFFENSE looks to already be our strength. We need rebounding, defense, and a physical presence. FG% - Mitchell shot nearly 5% better, but both shot well (55% & 50%) 3pt shooting - Kohler, they shot nearly an...

    Kohler/UK/Zoom call tom

I've been saying for 8-9 months I expect Moreno to be 2nd team All-SEC level next year. But stats need to be taken within context. Here are their per30min stats: Mitchell 16.2pt, 4.6reb Kohler 13.5pt, 9.6reb Moreno 10.4pt, 8.4reb And you would expect a FR to take on less of the scoring load...
