    All year UNC offense against good teams had trouble finding rhythm and open shots. They really need one or more of 1) big FO advantage, 2) better goal tending, 3) alot more groundballs or 4) fewer turnovers. Syracuse tried to help them, but their FOGO came to play. That was the difference.

    That’s fair, but the same style of offense is what they need. Ball movement, cutting, lots of guys touching the ball. It’s how you get Petrino open so he can take lots of good shots. W Duffy, the ball too often stops. Makes them one dimensional….

    The UVa team can score. They have some pretty good offensive players. Six on six, UVa are probably a few goals better than UNC. But with the faceoff advantage and the man-up goals, UNC pulled it out.
