There is not the slightest doubt we had the talent for a title this year. None.
There is not the slightest doubt we had a coach with no brain this year. None.
Arkansas fans need to face reality by doing some "math" on the back of an envelope, so to speak. Subtract Anthony Davis, from CCCal's career at Kentucky. A truly generational talent who got Kentucky a title in one of the weakest of Final Fours. Kansas was playing with only 5 real players--kind...
They are going to be beasting, talent wise, if not coaching wise. I think they got the best player out of high school too (which is simply not Cooper Flagg).
Watched it. BYU was in extreme danger at the 18 minute mark but kept finding open 3s and switching defenses. That is the worst KU defense I have seen though. Self talks on whether the BYU 3 point shooting offense is sustainable here:
I'd have to think about it but perhaps the best mix of talent Can'tCoachCal had after the 2015 team, and just as badly coached as any of them. There was the talent to stay right with KU when that team had healthy players and could beat UConn. There was the coaching failure to never really teach...
Interesting the first thing this person lists is 5 star recruits. Coaches like Hurley, Wright, Self and others have gotten titles recent years with only a very few or no 5 star recruits. Give Mark Pope time and perhaps he can do the same.
Bigger win was against ranked Iowa State and Baylor. KU was a 4 player team and without McCullar, their leading scorer and main defender who had back to back triple doubles earlier in the season.
The real question is what Pope does with Kentucky level players. Let's all wait and see.
I am wait and see... Pope had some good pieces this year and KU was a broken 4 player team this year that got their ranking from way early wins like against UConn, and Baylor turned out to be not much either. Who knows yet if those BYU wins mean much.
Pope will have a brand new opportunity, and...
Don't know what you mean but it's possible neither of us do. Rick will be 72 in September. Imagine him recruiting at 76, 77 years old, screaming at officials at that age.
