    OT: Starkville area property owners help me understand the property taxes

    Agree, Starkville is way too high. 2000 sq ft house in Starkville is $4500 per year (w/o homestead) and 7000 sq ft in Madison is $9000. And Madison house is valued at 5x that of Starkville. Hard to keep paying for Starkville (along with insurance, utilities, etc) when I don't use it very much.

    My kid use to love to attend State basketball games with me. We watched the first half and it was so boring, we quit watching and went out to eat. I feel bad for the players that committed to the previous staff and selfishly for me (my kid as not interest in State basketball any more).
