I would prefer 16 or 24 with Automatic Quailers from every conference like in baseball, basketball. Give every team a defined pathway to a national championship. Otherwise, relegate those conferences to a league that does so…

Don’t root or make time to watch any other team outside MSU for football and basketball; but I do find the smaller Cali baseball teams (Pepperdine, CSF, UCI, UCSB….etc) fun to watch in the regionals and super regionals.
