OT: Rutgers friendly bar in Tampa?

The Rutgers Club of Tampa Bay is going to have a game watch at Glory Days in St. Pete (9900 4th St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33702) Friday around 2pm, outside on the patio. It's right over the bridge from Tampa. Let me know if you can make it!

We love it! Best thing we ever did, we've been down here about 6 years.

Hey! I'm the VP of the Rutgers Club of Tampa Bay... we don't have anything planned as of now, but I'm not sure how many people would be interested in a Thursday night game, especially if we're at 9pm. We usually do our game watches across the bridge in St. Pete though. I'm pretty sure any decent...

Not 100% in the clear yet, but I'm extremely glad this was a bust. Hoping to be able to leave the hospital and go home by Tuesday morning at the latest... the county has to assess the damage to make sure roads are safe. This has been a wild ride! Thanks to everyone for your wonderful forecasting.

Looking like we're gonna take the direct hit now... hoping she drops to a cat 3 before that. We found the most compact place in the house for my husband and animals with the least windows and have started setting up supplies there. Evacuating, unless going to an already crowded shelter, isn't...

No thank you. What strength is it predicted to be then? We didn't board the windows and there is no plywood now, just wondering how much damage I can expect.

Please, keep updating me. Although I'm destined to live at work for the weekend, it would also be nice to know when the storm's gonna break and I can safely be relieved and leave work

I've heard that it's taking at least 3x as long as normal to get out of Florida. I heard it took people around 12 hours to get from Orlando area to the border

That's looking a little better for me, I'll take it! It's the Euro model that keeps trending west, right? I was at work all day and people said that Irma trended 100 miles west, I thought that was a bit extreme...

The ER list was already a joke when I left work tonight, it's only gonna get worse! We were already told to keep a hallway clear of patients so that we have rooms to sleep in while we're there. We'll see how that works in the next 2 days. And Pinellas county is only evacuating the worst flood...

Soooo I might not have a boring calm day in St. Pete? ;) My hospital has already said they're going to initiate that disaster plan either Saturday at 6pm or Sunday morning... meaning me and half the staff go in and stay until it's over. With this western shift, it just got a little more scary...

Sounds good to me! I just wanted to watch the game Saturday, work my 12 hours Sunday, and watch the Giants Sunday night. Maybe it can still happen.

In St. Petersburg, and at least this more eastern track is looking favorable for us. It's crazy here... there's no water anywhere, gas stations either have lines or are out of gas, the lines for the sandbag stations are hours long, roads to get out of FL are already at a standstill, and schools...
