    My reasoning is that I root for the team and the coaches. I like what Schiano built and what Flood is continuing. I was pissed when Rutgers trumped up a bunch of nonissues (snowstorm) to fire Gary Waters & basketball has gone downhill ever since. Firing Flood would be firing Waters part two...

    BS thread. I'm not an ru alum. Huge Rutgers football fan. And Coach Flood is one of the reasons (the other coach being GS). If RU fired a 5-7 Flood I will probably start rooting for my school's football team and move on from Rutgers.

    I wanted Rettig & he looked good when he played. But coaches chose Laviano for a reason. The last 2 games he has been really really good.

    I think he was fine against wsu, but he was responsible for some turnovers. We win that game with one less turnover (or one caught interception). I rate Laviano's performance against WSU as adequate. Against MSU, he played a really good game. Light years ahead of what he did against them...

    Laviano vs. Rettig

    Both looked excellent. Rettig was 9-11, made a lot of good decisions & a few surprisingly nice runs, some very good throws, & 1 bad throw. Laviano was 4-4 with one bad throw (not as bad as Rettig's bad throw and ended up being a touchdown because Caroo). Hard to choose.
