    Class D-2 imbalance

    16 team playoff favors the east. They are more likely to get a D1 team for that 9th game. the current format works, its been even in recent years, this year the line just happened to be a few miles further west than usual. we could have giltner kenesaw and stuart all go west next year.

    Teams recently in the west that are in the east now, Stuart, Kenesaw, Giltner. Those teams are right on the line and just happen to be real good right now. I don't think having teams from the pan handle travel to near Omaha for a first round game is a solution. The last 6 years it is 3-3...

    I know that Medicine Valley won the district title last night with a win over Wallace, made it so Hitchcock county can have a matching district record but Medicine Valley won their head to head. I dont know how that will affect the Southwest vs Hitchcock county situation.

    The only reason it looks like that is because the breaking point is moving further west. There are multiple schools right on the line that are very good right now that are going east when they often go west.
