To be fair, the NCAA's small, slow-cotton nets and their Wilson ball would be tough for any player to get used to. I can give him a pass since he was used to Nike balls and silky fast nets.
I played AAU basketball on an all-black team (minus me) in the early to mid-2000s. Maybe it was just jealousy from other black parents and players, but none of them experienced racism like I did.
