    Big 10 Overturns Targeting Call

That review was very close on both the targeting and catch. Personally, I thought no targeting and no catch. If they had ruled no targeting and catch/fumble, that would have been a huge turn in the game. That targeting call depends on a the player being defenseless and I'm not sure how a player...

Is it better to play a QB that you develop or a hired gun?

You could have 8 years in the Colorado system and still be skiddish with that o-line.

Kansas State, Texas A&M and Ole Miss accused of Player Tampering ...

I could have seen them taking a 5th year guy who has some kid in front of him and would be a serviceable backup. I could see someone with K-State ties telling a high school coach or someone that "Brayden could be making $600k in NIL" or even that he would be worth that if AJ left. I could easily...

Kansas State, Texas A&M and Ole Miss accused of Player Tampering ...

I believe that is legal now. You can't require them to play for the Huskers, but living in Lincoln could be a NIL requirement. Actually, if the new roster/scholarship rules go through, it would be more of a stipend on top of the scholarship since everyone on the roster would have one already.

Kansas State, Texas A&M and Ole Miss accused of Player Tampering ...

I'm going to go out on a limb and bet that a couple of CSU players got big increases in their NIL this year. Not saying that the stories were made up, but it wouldn't be the first time that someone used a fake offer to get more $$. If K-State can afford $600k for a backup QB, their NIL program...

    Not cool KSU

Let's not pretend that we don't have free agency and that players aren't getting some 'signals' of what they are worth prior to entering the portal. That said, $600k to a guy who threw 16 picks last year and had negative rushing yards just doesn't fit the K-State style of minimizing turnovers...

Top 50 schools in Athletic revenue

KSU was either $118 million or $102 million depending which number you pick. I believe that the $118 included $16 million that was donated earlier, but released from donor restrictions in 2023. In other words, donations that had been made in prior years but not spendable until 2023. Also...

    rumors about realignment ...

I think that the next shoe to drop will be unequal revenue sharing. The ACC, if it survives, will probably be the first, followed by the SEC. Once the cat is out of the bag, it would be hard to see Michigan and Ohio State being happy with the same cut as Rutgers and Northwestern. It probably...

So roughly equal after paying for fired AD's and coaches

    Illinois Prediction Thread

I'm going to go: Illinois 17 NU 7 Nebraska outgains Illinois, but has 3 TO's and blows another opportunity. Clearly a game the Huskers should win, but I just don't see the mental part being there yet. Really need this one if they want to make a bowl.

Keyshawn Johnson: Coaches from other schools helped Oregon game plan to beat Colorado

Deion is putting a bigger target on their back than necessary. I'm pretty sure that 5 minutes of film was enough intel for the Oregon staff.

    HH round 2

Need to take the gloves off and come out slinging the ball. The passing game needs A LOT of work before Michigan.

    Gambling Week 4

So, the #19 team is a 21 point dog at the #10 team and the #22 team is a 3 1/2 point dog at #11. I know Vegas isn't doing the rankings, but that's a bit crazy. I think Utah and Colorado both cover easily.

FWIW - Mickey Joseph now Officially Terminated

I'm sure that he will receive at least part of his compensation. Best outcome for all concerned, everyone just needs to move on. Now let's see what Texas does with Chris Beard.

    Decoldest

Mickey should negotiate a contract buyout for 50% or something like that. If he is convicted and terminated for cause in a few months we will only get those months of pay. Doing the buyout would allow both parties to move on. Someone will hire him as an analyst or something that he can still...
