    The reporter who picks this is a Martinsville native. He know about.... ....McGuire. Fox probably got the nod because he's a senior and McGuire is a Junior. If McGuire puts up similar number next season he will get the player of the year.

    Pulaski County is replacing Amherst. Heritage is replacing Cave Spring... ......Franklin County will now be the benefit scrimmage. I have not heard anything about the Rustburg scrimmage.

    Cave dropped Northside because Patrick Henry is now a 5A..... .....school, Cave has to play them now since there is only a 2 class separation.

    3A West has won the last 4 and 5 of 6 championships. ....Now the 4A South definitely appears to have a significant edge but I don't now where you get that 3A East is light years ahead of 3A West.

    Initially, I liked the idea of crossbracketing. However, the extreme... ......travel situations have caused me to rethink this. Just look at this weekend with Haysi busing 7 hours to play a game. Just think of the crowd and the money to be made if they were playing at Honaker this...

    Their D did make some stops in the 4th qtr. However in the 3rd.... MV had the ball for all but about 2 minutes. Their offense put together some great drives. The performance of their offense will determine the outcome of the game.

    I'm glad they "let" Northside score 28 points or it would've been.... .....a boring game. Magna Vista has a very good offense that controlled the ball with the passing game. Something you don't see very often in high school.

    It was really Magna Vista's offense that held Northside to 7..... .....in the 2nd half. Their offense controlled the end of the first half and the 2nd half by going on some long drives. The MV offense had the ball for 81 plays to Northside's 51 plays. The MV Defense gave up some long...

    Well, one reason is that it's one of the common opponents.... .....between the 2 schools this season. Which admittedly gets a little dicey because of the changes at QB for the teams.
