So what's up with AI attacking each other?

Im saying the cigarette companies used that line of defense, and were found liable anyway. Sorry if i was being too obtuse. The line heavily depends on what the product provider knew, what they did with that knowledge, and their motives. Knowing a harm exists and doing nothing about it to...

So what's up with AI attacking each other?

Yep, this. I've noticed when I check its source after an error, its often an error from the web page it pulled from. So basically, LLMs are as accurate as the top results in a Google Search, put in a summary designed to tell you what you want to hear.

So what's up with AI attacking each other?

A different analogy then. It would be like a company selling something you use with your mouth, that you somehow burn and inhale, that gives many people cancer. Is there any precedent there?

    OT: Nvidia/AI/Tech Exposure

Maybe. Its the architectural equivalent of re-inventing the wheel. I highly doubt it. Even if costs drop 80%, thats still $1M a rack, and the modularity savings cant be more than around 1% of that. Its basically a warehouse that holds gold bars. The shelves ain't the cost driver my dude...

So what's up with AI attacking each other?

AI is in large part trained on social media algorithms. As such, it is designed to increase utilization by telling the user what they want to hear. Accuracy comes after. Whats Latin for "let the user beware"? Chatgpt says "caveat utilitor". Side note, is was using chatGPT the other day and...

So what's up with AI attacking each other?

Hard disagree. It would be like JW knowing their product would prompt severe psychosis (and not just drunkenness) in a small portion of the population, but releasing it anyway and doing nothing about it. That they wanted to get ahead of competitors is hardly a justification for knowingly...

    Retirement question

Its really two things that are both right. Using debt as leverage to make wealth is very legitimate. It works great in a rising market. The downside is it leaves you vulnerable in a recession.

This is good, but part of what it misses is that AI is LLMs, meaning its based on word choice prediction and probabilistics. Its NOT math based, and is actually pretty horrible at doing math. Math is the language of logic. All past software tech was based on programming logic. It was...

I had to trim your quotes to stay under the char limit Are they? You're getting towards my area of expertise. I dont know how these data centers are being built, but in general such things are not built for longevity. Even when they try, they try to do so cheaply, and might as well not have...

Gonna pick and choose some replies here, to cut down on the tediousness. If you want a reply to something in lsrticular i skipped over, just ask, im not avoiding anything. i didnt say they were. I said theyd be mostly obsolete in 5 years. Which is true. you dont say Given that the...

Thats not how any of this works. (Though I think 2026 has double the AI costs as 2025). Its ongoing investment needs. Thats the problem. These data centers are obsolete in 5 years. Its ANOTHER $400b in debt for every, what, 2 or 3 years? The $35B a year isn't paying it off, just servicing...

They turned $70B in profit. At $600B in debt, thats around half their profits....gone. And the debt service amount goes up every year, until AI revenue exceeds expenses. Thats nowhere near a worst case. The worst case is AI is unprofitable for them. Doesnt mean AI isn't a huge thing. Just...

For those who care about this sort of thing....

Due to his radar sense he "sees" like a bat or dolphin, but better. Though a lot of noise or such can overwhelm that sense and "blind" his radar too. I guess he's color blind. He acts like a regular blind person to keep up his secret identity. Which everyone learns and then forgets again...
