Nothing against Ramos - he was a great Hawk and seems to be a very good coach- but we have enough Iowa guys on the coaching staff. I’d like to see some outside influence with a little more funk/scrambling.
Getting a great coach with experience will be great and may pay dividends, but I guess I would actually prefer a coach that would move the recruiting needle, help our scrambling/chain wrestling and training - like a Nolf or Yanni.
After the season, I really wish the coaches/team would report the injuries these guys were going through. Not that they owe it to us, but for us to understand the hardships they faced and better understand how gritty and awesome they really are.
One has to wonder if the success and excitement around the basketball team with a new coach in McCollum might affect Beth’s decision to hang on to TnT long term.
