    HVL went LSU to play point guard. She is averaging more assists and less TO's but 10 minutes less per game and taking half the shots she did at Louisville. Like you said she is not the featured 'star" like at Louisville

    This could be the most unexpected and remarkable outcome of a baseball game since Dan arrived. For a team with a 5.37 ERA to go into Vandy (the winningest team in college baseball over the last five seasons) with mid-week pitchers and pitch a two-hitter is tremendous.

    I'm afraid I have to agree with the lack of top players on this team. One problem is our top two upperclass recruits, Usher and Rushing have one hit in 21 times at bat.     Engstler is an enigma. I'm sure Jeff has talked to her until he's blue in the face but she continues to do dumb things. Don't get it. Reminds me of Grayson Allen at Duke and in the pros. Never stopped tripping and taking cheap shots.

    Valvano Speaks Out

    The problem with this team is pretty simple...they can't shoot. They miss more wide open shots near the basket and from the 3-point line than any team they've played. To be a good college team you need to shoot 45-35-75 or close to it. We shoot 42-32-70. The women shoot 45-37-74.
