On the womens side of it, Danville Christian Academy forward Grace Mbugua commits to Louisville

My niece has played against her. She's 6'5" and worth the hype. Wishing her the best at Louisville! =)

How many wins should the fans expect this year?

UK plays fourteen teams ranked in KenPom's top 50 and ten teams ranked in the AP Top 25 (and they play Alabama and Tennessee twice). Regardless of what you think of KenPom and the AP, that's still absolutely brutal. So temper your expectations and give Coach Pope time to settle in and find his...

Did you know that Arkansas charges admission to these events? I didn't. BBM tickets are free except for the Ticketmaster fee, right (I've never been)? https://arkansasrazorbacks.com/arkansas-mbb-to-have-tip-off-tour-in-hot-springs-and-pine-bluff/

    Meanwhile…

To recap, as Fox2monk noted, Bank OZK Arena has a capacity of over 6,000, and as chroix noted, only about 4,000 spectators were there. https://www.arkansasonline.com/news/2024/oct/13/taking-it-to-the-people/ If Cal had held it at Bud Walton Arena, it would've looked desolate, since Walton...

Do you have anything cool planned for Coach Pope's first game?

I usually like to watch games alone, but to me a new coach is a big deal, especially since he's an all-time UK great, which is why I want to watch the first game with family. I hope it's a great memory for them. =)

How many coaches has UK had during your fandom?

Seven. I was about eight months old when Coach Hall beat Duke in '78.

    Pitino at BBM

Kind of. Pitino's ego drove him to leave UK too early, and Cal's ego drove him to stay at UK too long.

    Pitino at BBM

He was never about UK, or Boston, or Louisville, or any other places he's coached. His spots are all about what he can do for himself.

    Help me get caught up...

There's too much useless crap here to sift through. But my friends on Twitter got me caught up quickly. :)

    Is it Basketball Season Yet?

I don't watch college football, but I of course wish the Wildcats the best. I'm a casual Bengals fan, and I've followed the Reds my entire life, but the only sport I really follow closely is UK basketball. Being a lifelong Reds fan's rough. I was born just as the Big Red Machine was being...
