Louisville , you freaking dorks you can have your "best backcourt"...

They’ll be okay, not as good as we will be but pretty good. If I’m being honest, it’s probably not the worst thing for the program to have them worse than us, but still very competitive. Our program seems to operate at its best when Louisville is at least competitive.

    Jaland Lowe to uk

I am happy with this commitment. Good vision, can beat his guy off the dribble and create open shots for our shooters. Presumably he won’t be counted on to go one-on-five and we will have better players around him than at Pitt, so his efficiency will improve.

Do we now pivot to Aday Mara? And what is the PG plan....

Aday Mara was the centerpiece of the Spain U17 FIBA team that played the US team with Cooper Flagg, Ron Holland, DJ Wagner and Boogie Fland in a really good game in the World Cup championship. I’m kind of surprised he wasn’t more productive at UCLA his first two years. He was a high high level...

    Pope Crushing, Cal Panicking

Take X’s and O’s out of the picture, I think we are putting together a better roster than Cal would have had given the high level experience of the guys we are bringing in. And once you consider Cal’s X’s and O’s deficiencies, I think our first year under Pope will be an immediate improvement.

    Lamont Butler

I am not going to tell anyone how to feel, but I would tell people who have doubts to think about it this way: Going into next season, if your goal is to advance as far as possible, would you rather have a guy who has been playing junk ball in the AAU circuit as your starting point guard, or...

    Is It Possible???

The game is Moneyball now. How well can you manage your NIL payroll. Pope is a very smart guy and I have a feeling he is being very methodical and analytical. You want to be the smartest, not the loudest.

    J. Quaintance to Louisville...?

Yeah I think we are talking past each other and I don’t want to hijack the thread. I will end it here. I want all of Kentucky to succeed, our bigger cities, our suburbs, our small towns, our rural and mountain areas. I think anyone who truly loves Kentucky would too. It is convenient to be an...

    J. Quaintance to Louisville...?

What city do you live in if you don’t mind me asking? I would be surprised if more than 30% of ANY city in Kentucky commuted into Nashville on a daily basis, so I’d think “economic and cultural driver” of any area of Kentucky is a stretch. More likely, people like to attach themselves to...

    J. Quaintance to Louisville...?

I’m not really sure what your point is. The closest city to Nashville in Kentucky is still 50 minutes away according to Google maps. We can’t exactly claim Nashville as part of Kentucky.

    J. Quaintance to Louisville...?

That’s really unfortunate. Kentucky has two front doors, Louisville and Lexington (Northern Kentucky is kind of a side door as a Cincy suburb). Realistically, that’s the only interaction most people will have with Kentucky. UL is a small part of Louisville the city, and most people who live in...

    J. Quaintance to Louisville...?

I think it’s a shame to let rivalry stuff hurt our well being as a state. You can believe it’s a ****** city, but even if you do, wouldn’t it help to be constructive about it? If you think it’s ****** or run down, doesn’t that just mean there is more opportunity to improve it? Othering...

    NIL tweet for JQ

For a low, low price of $1.5mm, you get 17 year old Jayden Quaintance AND his helicopter father! Seriously, what kind of an idiot would make that deal? That type of player could end up hurting the team more than helping. Avoiding this one gives me more confidence in Pope’s personnel/ salary...

    Johnell Davis twitter buzz

Houston itself is one extremely large suburb. But yes, it sprawls a way larger geographical area than Lexington or Louisville and has many more people. It’s probably the least appealing city in the country to me but I’m glad you enjoy it.

Amari Williams officially to Kentucky, for real this time

Yeahhhh MUDDAFUDDAS By the way, basketball in the UK (as in United Kingdom) is in an interesting place right now. They have a professional team called the London Lions that plays in the Eurocup has some decent talent, starting to pick up a little bit of a following (but still like a pimple on...
