    ...but schools also played in Sugar Bowls after both 1962 and 1969 seasons. SEC made sure schools started playing tougher SEC slates beginning in mid-60's, when UM started playing Bama, UGA and Florida.

    ...Regional there, had an absolute blast. Rebs finished 2nd in the old 6-team format, as the 'Noles (Doug Mientkiewicz, Mike Martin, Jr., J.D. Drew) went to Omaha directly from there. Disappointed in not getting to see Howser again after the renovations, but not disappointed in the competition...

    ...Hayes, Michael Busby, et. al. Would the NCAA do it? Oh yeah, they like to set up these "interesting" matchups. I have also seen Ole Missand Louisville matched upin the 2-3 game this Friday for similar reasons.

    ...in Mississippi. Ole Miss drew crowds on 10 dates of 3,500+ in old University Park/Swayze Field through 1988 (Oxford-University Stadium opened in 1989.) In the famous 1970 season finale series in Oxford, there were around5,000 for each game between UM and MSU to determine the SEC West...
