If you could pick one basketball season KY could have won it all which would it be?

2015 - Undefeated. And the last team to do it, NOT Indiana as someone mentioned before me. 1966 - For obvious reasons. 1975 - Dang. One more for the Cats, one less for UCLA. 1984 And here's a rare one..... 1977 - Lost to UNC in the Elite 8. I see no one in that year's Final Four that could...

For you old timers, Whatever happened to Larry Johnson who played PG for us from 1973-1977

This. No one took the ball away from Larry Johnson. NO one! He might travel once in a while, he might double-dribble, he might make an occassional bad pass..... NO ONE took the ball away from him.....at least that I can remember. And yes, he was very quick. He won the Bernie Shively award...

On this day March 27, 1978....The Goose was Golden

Actually, Notre Dame lost the consolation game to Arkansas. Digger didn't even wanna play. He mentioned at that Final Four that the NCAA should do away with the 3rd place game. About 3 years later, they did just that. Joe B . . . . 2-0 in the 1978 Final Four Digger . . . 0-2 in the 1978...

    Midwest regional resale tix

Anyone know where the majority of BBN will sitting be in Lucas Oil Stadium? I do NOT want to be sitting in the middle of a bunch of Vols or Houston fans! Don't mind Purdue fans......an enemy of my enemy is my friend. And I despise IU with a passion! C-A-T-S!

A random day after UK-Duke trivia question...

I'll go with March, 1980. Mid East Regional at Rupp. Duke beat the Cats something like 55-54. Kyle Macy missed a jumper at the buzzer. Two nights later, Purdue beat Duke to go to Indy for the Final Four. I attended both games as I was a Freshman at UK that year.

Think we have half court zones if needed?

Favorite non game moments in UK basketball history

"Notre Dame had fun in St. Louis." Joe B., at the pep rally at Memorial after the 1978 Championship. Digger Phelps enjoyed make snide remarks about UK and Joe . . . Joe got the last word. Loved it!!! That 1978 Final Four was the closest Digger even remotely came to a National Championship...

I see what you did there, Jacob McCandles. BIG JAKE is in my Top 3 all-time fave movies. Hell, it's probably #1 !!! "Dog!" Richard Boone: "I thought you were dead." Big Jake: "Not hardly!" "You ever call me Daddy again, I'll finish this fight for good!"

I'm in Brownsburg, just West of Indy. Super cool. Birds started singing as it began to get daylight again, like it was morning.

Bump and Post here if you want a new coach

Remember what Rupp used to say? "You can't get 'em soon enough for me. The sooner we put 'em away (an opponent) the better I like it." From the album "Great Moments in Kentucky Basketball with Adolph Rupp". He said that pertaining to the 1958 Final Four game against Temple. You can't get...

KU may lead in all-time wins, but

Had no idea Murray State was 10th. I knew WKU was high up on that list.
