    KenPom 2027 preseason rankings released

At the bare minimum, I feel (fairly) confident Rutgers won't have any of those WTF losses against teams NJIT or Delaware State this year like they had last year against Penn and Central Connecticut. Also, if they're as improved as they appear, the RAC should return to being the Trapezoid of...

    Team photo day

One example of another school doing this might be Virginia Tech. They had some guy listed at 6' 10" last year who is clearly NOT that tall. His name was Christian Gurdak. I don't think he was any taller than Amani Hansberry who they listed at 6' 8"...

    Season Tickets

Are you able to download them to your wallet? Because I am not. I can "see" the tickets, but I get a message saying they're not available for download (or something to that effect). I spoke to my ticket rep and the said they are just "waiting for a sponsor" (whatever that means). And that...

BB Recruiting Four-Star G RJ Moore commits to Rutgers Basketball

Well, if we're lucky, he will have an absolutely atrocious senior season and nobody will want him. That's the only logical explanation as to how Pike was able to hold on to Wooten after his senior season last year.

    Pikiell Podcast - Summer Edition

This podcast in which Pike said Miteo "hadn't showed up yet" was shot back in July. I have to assume the official announcement that he was added to the roster wasn't made until he had his visa and passport and was good to go. I keep seeing him referred to as a center. But I think with his...

    Scrimmage Info?

Mike Repole does have bottomless pockets. He is the sole reason St. Johns has been so good the past few years. Pitino has said he's doesn't even bother recruiting HS kids. It's a waste of time, he said. He just picks and chooses the very best portal guys each year thanks to the huge NIL...

ESPN's Ceiling and Floor for RU

Good point. At least that would explain the absurdity of the suggestion that this teams' fortunes will depend on how well a 3rd (or at best 2nd) string true freshman guard plays.

ESPN's Ceiling and Floor for RU

Responsibility that rests largely on the shoulders of Tariq and incoming four-star recruit Imahri Wooten. Really? ESPN thinks the teams fortunes will "rest on the shoulders of Tariq and Imahri"? Not Lino? Not Gurdak, Sydnor or Garavaglia? Hard to take this "prediction" seriously when...

Football Rutgers Football voted 17th in Big Ten Preseason Media Poll

I'd love to see a historical analysis of where Rutgers football and basketball teams have been predicted to finish versus how they actually finished over the past, say, 20 years or so. For example, wasn't the basketball team predicted to finish 17th or 18th last year, yet finished 14th...

Basketball CBS Sports reveals way-too-early Big Ten predictions for 2026-27

It seems highly likely the players Rutgers brought in via the Portal are significantly better than the players that left via the Portal. Combine that with the expected improvement of the younger returning players and it seems a near certainty that this team will be quite a bit better than last...

Steve Pikiell Podcast: 2026 Transfer Portal Update

I assume Buca wasn't officially on board when this was recorded so Pike couldn't or wouldn't talk about him (at the 14:19 point of the vid) . No idea why Duarte wasn't mentioned.

BB Recruiting Kansas State transfer center Dorin Buca commits to Rutgers

We needed a backup center ☑️ We needed more size upfront ☑️ We needed a rim protector ☑️ We needed someone who can rebound ☑️ We needed someone with P4 experience ☑️ So, naturally, half the folks in this forum are complaining he doesn't score enough. Can't make this stuff up.

I thought Tariq played very well defensively, he had no turnovers and he led the team in scoring. After all the bitchin' and moaning I read in this forum when he was added to the roster about how awful he is, I expected the worst. Instead, for one night at least, he was clearly one the best...
