    I think we have different definitions of Super Conference. Where you're referring to all the powerhouse programs in IL, I am referring to a mega-football conference broken down into divisions. So essentially, a ton of conferences coming together and forming a big league.

    And to me, that's part of the issue. If these schools are going to prepare young men for life, why shouldn't coaches/ADs/Principals be open to challenging their teams a bit more and scheduling tougher opponents? You're right about the size of NJ compared to IL. I guess we will see what happens...

    Okay, fair point. But I think the difference between the IHSA and the Super Conference is that it doesn't reward teams with losing records. The expanded playoffs allows a team with 2-3 wins to get into the playoffs. The Super Conference doesn't do that, instead requiring teams to win more games...

    Edgy, I am curious why did Glenbard South and the schools that were at that combine last year decide to combine with Naperville North's combine this year? It seemed like there were too many athletes and not enough evaluators at the Naperville North combine from what I saw online.

    The DVC did something like this because it was only six teams in the entire conference. But the downside is that playing a team twice never really seemed to be fair. I guess it's changing with the DVC out of the Southwest Valley Conference.

    That is what I am saying. As an extension point, if coaches want to blow up the current format with the expanded playoffs and have something new, next year is the perfect year to start thinking about separating public and private schools.

    If the member schools are smart, they will come up with a new system entirely. It'd be bad to go back to the way things were because then that likely means the publics and privates are together and we all know how that will go.

    Some jobs, especially those that are part time will only hire high school students now if they're able to commit to a minimum number of hours a week. For example, if they work at Jewel or Marianos, they have to be able to commit to at least 15 hours a week. I know it sounds unfair but...
