I completely agree. Besides Benji, we probably could not have made a better hire. He has not only won at the highest level but he also has lots of long standing ties to this program. I think we picked wisely. Hoping it works out!

Thanks for your input. I was speaking with someone close to the Browns over the weekend, and he told me the same. Money was not the issue. I too think we will end up with a really good coach but I hope we get the stability we need to truly build us back. Hate to hear Robertson was not getting...

Its a massive failure to not be able to bring them back. Im afraid we will land a good coach who will just move on like Robertson. We really need a Thomasville guy. There are some good options out there with Thomasville roots that could provide the stability and community awareness that is...

Without a doubt. If you cant achieve a 2.0, you have no business on the field unless you have a learning disability. Kids need to have a bare minimum and a 2.0 is just that.

Im guessing you mean Benji and Allen. Unreal if anyone screwed that up!

I know all about that. I was hoping that sort of thinking had been flushed by now.

The Browns were Thomasville natives and lived and breathed Bulldogs and this town. This job is only a stepping stone depending on who you hire. I thought Robertson would want to see this mission through but he has jumped around at jobs which stood out to me immediately. Need to get this one...

You would think that due to the nature of our system, we could get his wife something close to comparable and then give her something even better as soon as it opened. I dont know, it seems we could make this happen which is really sad. They still live here! Thats not the greatest commute. That...

Thats why this hire is so important. The first one was not as good of a hire as it seemed. He was going to totally revamp Thomasville and had no idea of the culture. He bolted. The second hire was an absolute disaster and should have NEVER happened. The third, was a great hire. Its a shame we...

I hope they get this right. We really need someone who understands Thomasville football and the culture or they are gong to bolt. Just look at Robertson. He was on track to get us back and he left. We need someone who doesnt want to leave even if its for more money, etc.

What about Todd McCombs. Was DC at WSSU and now an analyst on Carolina's staff. I understand he had interest in our past openings. Someone who understands the culture and would stay a long time if it worked perhaps. Wish there was someway to get Benji. I hope we get someone that will stay and...

Considering the Browns still love and live in Thomasville, I could see Benjie returning home if we could come close to matching what he makes and dont count out some in this community from making that happen. If you know you want to be in Thomasville, why make that drive every day if we could...

Why would it be such a long shot for Benjie to return? Its his opportunity. If you really want it, you take it and make the rest of it work. Hate to hear that it is a long shot.

I doubt any of that enters Benjie's mind as a deciding factor. He either wants to continue a Brown Thomasville legacy or he doesnt.
