Similar situation when I was in high school--way up, lot of subs, opponents started coming back. Coach called timeout and put all the starters back in primarily to give our pitcher more confidence.
I, too, am inclined to believe our record is correct because it is documented game by game on our website and absent from theirs (or anywhere else on the internet that I could find).
