    I agree that changing schools a lot hurts development. It also means that programs who are looking for someone to come in with multiple years left will pass.

    Mara is 7'3". The Arizona guy is 7'2". Of course, Illanoy also has 7 footers from abroad. UConn also has good size (but maybe not as big). Seems to be a requirement for elite teams. Hopefully BM is working on it and will spend wisely!!

    Good post. I think we all appreciate that Fran brought us out of the dark years. We had dominant players like Garza and Murray (among others) and yet we never did much in the tourney. Defense was obviously bad almost every year. Fan apathy crept in and it was time for a change.

    Sage would be very big for a combo guard. (I'm no expert but he is a large guy for a guard -6'7" 210 lbs) Sage seems like a perfect small forward to me.
