    North_estern has a good program

This is dumb. Kirk isn’t perfect, but I’m in no great rush to run him off. There’s every chance for the team to end with 9+ wins this year and we’re arguably in KF’s longest sustained run of his 23-year time at Iowa. This would be his 7th straight season of at least 8 wins (or the equivalent...

    North_estern has a good program

Nah, you guys were the original NU by like a century.….plus you guys actually are an NU. This isn’t the Big 12 full of “University of” schools that go by State U.

    That's good stuff right there.

Wilbon on the Fitz NFl rumors

I had similar thoughts when Ferentz was getting NFL interest a decade + ago. You're not a candidate if you suck. Like Ferentz, I expect Fitz to stay.

    Great win!

Sounds like he's staying, too. That's a win for the B1G.

Skowronek‘s catch deserves its own thread

If you watched closely, each team was called for one PI (IIRC), but mostly the refs were letting them play. I thought they missed several PIs each way.

Skowronek‘s catch deserves its own thread

I saw more than one play where Epenesa gave him 2 hands to the chest to stand him up and another round to knock him down.

Skowronek‘s catch deserves its own thread

Watching live, I was sure it was no catch, but replay got it right. That was amazing.

Skowronek‘s catch deserves its own thread

Iowa clearly game planned to bracket and limit him.

Thoughts on Bowser, Thorson and mainly Iowa

Against most teams, I love this game plan. Iowa just has more DL than most teams. Bowser is a beast and I've seen him getting better and better every week (wife is NU grad, so I've seen all the games). Coming into the game, I still feared Thorson/Nagel-Green more than Bowser in terms of putting...

Thoughts on Bowser, Thorson and mainly Iowa

I could argue that Iowa still made the right call. They held Northwestern to 14 points, and they needed an amazing catch from Skowronek to get that. If you'd have told me a week ago that Iowa held Northwestern to 14, I'd have been pretty confident in an Iowa win. I agree with OP that it was a...

    Iowa Board is MELTING DOWN

It's 3 in a row - 2018, 2017, 2016. Iowa won 40-10 in 2015, when they went 8-0 in conference play before losing to MSU in the B1G championship.

    Good. Just seemed odd.

    Iowa Board is MELTING DOWN

What happened to Hartage? Seems he got hurt on Smith-Marsette's catch, but I never saw what happened. Hopefully you get him back next week.
