Countdown for the Hawkeyes first game….

Now it's more like 19-26 year olds.

Vonnahme named to Mackey Award Watch List

Congrats to DJ, would love to see him keep developing and avoid the injury bug that so many of our preseason hyped TEs have been plagued with. I see our crack media staff is still just ignoring Scott Slutzker's 167 yard performance vs Penn State in 1995 (the flying pig's head game) in what is...

    Drew Stevens

Wasn't the AFC title game but he did have one awful game vs the Jets. But he was also first team all Pro the same year and played three more seasons in the league. Chargers weren't going to cut him for one bad game, no matter how untimely. If you're a rookie and screw up, you are on the...

    Drew Stevens

Take advantage of it and run with it, because once you are established as an NFL kicker or punter it's really hard to lose your job until your leg falls off.

can this defense keep the streak going ?

As long as we run the clock on offense and punt well, our defense will always have the built in advantage of keeping the score low if they don't give up big plays and "bend but don't break". It really is complimentary football.

    Roster size

But they could within the rules if a school can afford it.

    Roster size

    I believe that is correct.

Miami and Florida State to the BIG?

We will get where the B10 and SEC are more like the AL/NL or AFC/NFC anyway where each league spreads coast to coast so might as well jump on those schools now instead of waiting for later.

Iowa legend Don Nelson passes away

RIP He was the Warriors coach with Run TMC when I first started following basketball, and honestly had no idea he was a Hawkeye at that time.

An Analysis Of All QB Battles/Controversies In The Ferentz Era

Arvell was the backup in 2007, first off the bench vs Syracuse when we blew them out. (Still wonder how well they would've done and how much better Jake C is if Brodell and Moeki weren't both done for the year by game 5 and having to start over with frosh receivers). But he never started a...

    Honest Question about Jordan Williams

How would he have all-Americaned last year? He lost to every single guy he should have and a few he shouldn't have. As I mentioned in a different thread, his best match was losing on an OT stalling call (that wasn't particularly deserved but was in Lincoln against the defending National champ...

    raf tonight

Kind of weird choice, he just beat Minto last week at RAF. Maybe he just wanted to go out with a big win in his home state. Probably need to listen to the interview to hear the reasoning.

Best Winning %s in the BCS/CFP Era

209-144 Nebraska is 209-144, so .592 and not far off the list. They were still really good in the early BCS years and consistently won 2/3 under Pelini. Now conference win percentage since they joined the B10 would be well south of .500. 57-72. I knew they were bad but one .500 or better...

    Askren
